This outrageous act of burial of a man in the backyard of Tineg re-elected mayor Edwin Crisologo smells grossly fishy to me.

Questions that begs answers are:

1. Who is Gudao to Edwin? A friend? A foe? A friend of his enemies?

2. Is this a set-up to get Edwin behind bars so he cannot become mayor ever again? Revenge for the disqualification of Cromwell Luna, the surrogate of Martin?

3. If so, who benefits from Edwin's incarceration?
a) Maybe Lenin Benwaren but he is disqualified . . . .
smiley Maybe Cromwell Luna but he is disqualified too.
c) Maybe Roberto Valencia, the fourth mayoralty candidate. Now, maybe we should scrutinize the affiliation of Valencia. How close is he to the Lunas? And Martin? Is he a potential dummy of the Lunas or Martin?
d) Maybe the vice mayor winner of the May 2010 elections. How close is he to the Lunas? And Martin?

e) Maybe the person who has the training at adeptly doing something evil and then blame it on others?

I have an uncanny speculation the one who desires to have full control of Tineg is connected to the death of this poor fellow Roy Gudao. Tineg is one hot pot of gold. Think of the mines and timber in Tineg. Such a spring of wealth to let go just like that. Alternate plans had to be mobilized.

Police find body buried in Abra mayor’s backyard
Date Published: May 27, 2010

By ARTHA KIRA PAREDES

BANGUED, Abra.— Police have found the body of a man buried in the backyard of Tineg Mayor Edwin Crisologo’s residence in Barangay Ubbog here Wednesday night.

The police report said the team that responded to a text message uncovered a “male cadaver” from a “garbage pit approximately two-feet” deep.

Abra Police Provincial Director Senior Superintendent Joseph Adnol identified the victim as Roy Gudao of Belaat, Tineg.

Tineg is about 80 kilometers northwest of Bangued, bordering the provinces of Apayao and Ilocos Norte. But Crisologo, like other mayors of various Abra towns, holds office and maintains a residence here in the capital.

Adnol said police do not yet have an autopsy report that could give more details but that “info states that that victim was identified” as a member of Crisologo’s private armed group.

“We need witnesses, sana lumantad ang may alam (We just hope those who know will come out),” he said.

Crisologo said Gudao was one of his leaders in Tineg. He also said police discovered the body while he was not home.

“I do not have any idea why that happened to him,” Crisologo said in Ilocano.

Crisologo just won his third term as mayor of Tineg. But Audi Benwaren, wife of mayoral candidate Lenin Benwaren, said they filed a protest at the Commission on Elections May 25.

In an earlier interview, Benwaren accused the Tineg Board of Canvassers of tampering with documents and illegal proceedings. Tineg Election Officer Carmelita Bayquen has denied the allegations.

Gudao was a loyal follower of Crisologo. Obviously, this is a set up.
A desperate move..
How could the Benwaren file protest where in fact he was disqualified prior to election?
Tineg was way behind in technology. I doubt the credibility of tampering automatated results..smiley
Poor Benwaren, they just cant accept defeat..
